Devlog 1

Hello! We’re the Magengaard team, and we’re super excited to show you our game. Imagine a world where you can cast spells by drawing them. Learn and discover new ways to beat your opponents by learning new glyphs.

We’re a team of passionate programmers, artists, musicians and spellcasters who envision to make this multiplayer game a reality.

We go into more detail about our game and what we plan to do it with the attached creative brief. We’re super excited to get started with this project and explore this project further.

This week, we’ve been experimenting with various game spells and mechanics. Our art team have been producing plenty of incredible concept art and ideas. Our hope for this first week is to establish a style that fits our vision for our final game. We’re hoping to create something that is simple enough to create assets relatively easily, while also looking great.

On the development side, we’re getting the project into a state that works well for further development. Primarily, we understand that our game has a lot of technical challenges involved, including recognizing glyphs and networking. We want to get a prototype that works with these basic concepts. With our project set up, we plan to create an arena that’s packed with interesting items to discover.

The music team is working with FMOD and already making some incredible sound effects. We'll be updating you on this in future weeks. We’re having a blast working with our project right now, and we can’t wait to see what we can deliver. We’ll be working hard over the next few weeks to make something special. See you next week!

Thank you for listening,

The Magengaard Team
